Numerator v1.0 is a Nixie-tube based sculpture that I created for a relative who is in finance. He is often asked to come up with numbers for his clients, students and investors, and the Numerator is a perfect tool for this purpose.

Simply lifting the lid provides an instant and very useful three-digit number. The numbers are almost all unique, and can easily be inserted into spreadsheets, reports or email. With slight order-of-magnitude adjustments, the numbers can be used for everything from payroll estimation to measurements or gross margin returns.

Numerator v1.0 was the second sculpture I'd created using Nixie display tubes. The first was the Hand-Cranked Digital Counter.
