In the autumn of 1997 I cross-registered at Harvard University for an electronics class there taught by Paul Horowitz (of The Art of Electronics and SETI fame) and Tom Hayes. It was a great, if gruelling class.

The culmination of the digital portion of the class was building and programming a computer based on the Motorola 68008 CPU. It was a lot of fun to learn how all the electronics 'inside the box' actually work. Here are some pictures of our lab computer. Click them for bigger versions.
